The Eagle’s Lesson: A Story of Renewal and Strength

From Pain to Power: The Eagle’s Path to Renewal

Eagle Rebirth

My friends, let me take you on a journey today. A journey of pain, courage, and transformation.

This is the story of an eagle, one of the most powerful creatures in the sky.

An eagle is known for its strength, its sharp vision, and its ability to soar above the highest mountains.

But what many don’t know is that every eagle faces a moment of great suffering—a moment when it must choose between death and painful renewal.

The Eagle’s Tough Choice

The eagle is said to live for 70 years, but to reach that age, he must make the hardest decision of his life.

At the age of  40,  an eagle begins to fail physically.

•  Its claws grow weak and can no longer grab food.

• Its beak becomes crooked and blunt.

• Old, thick, and heavy feathers prevent it from flying.

Now, the eagle comes to a difficult situation; it must choose between:?

• Either Surrender to its fate and accept eventual death.

• Or undergo a painful process of renewal that will test its resilience, endurance, and will to live.

And so, the eagle makes a decision to  battle and undergo the process of renewal.”

The Pain of Renewal

But then, the eagle goes flying up into the mountains far away from its world. It looks for a safe place — a nest on a rocky cliff — where it will remain for the next few months.

And then the agonising metamorphosis starts.

• First, it knocks off its beak by slamming into a rock. Can you imagine the pain? But the eagle does not stop. It waits for a new beak to grow.

• Once the new beak has grown, the eagle plucks out its old talons, one at a time.

• It pulls out all of its heavy feathers when its new talons grow,  shedding the past and preparing for the future.

And after a few months of pain, suffering, and patience, the eagle is born again.

With a new beak, new talons and new feathers, it spreads its wings again, taking to the sky — stronger, mightier and ready to live for another 30 years.

I have learnt so many lessons from this story of eagles.

Life is not always fair. Some fight all day, every day, to no avail while others have it handed to them on a silver platter.

We live in a world full of inequalities, burdens, and judgments. We often pass judgment on other people we don’t even know their daily struggles.
But no matter how hard life gets, these are the four lessons that I will never forget:
• First, be a lovely human being. Not excellent, not extraordinary—just kind and compassionate.
• Second, respect others. Never discriminate, for you never know what someone else is going through.
• Third, never give up. No matter how tough the road ahead may seem, always push forward.
• Fourth, embrace renewal. Growth is impossible without change; sometimes, we must go through a painful renewal process to rise again.

The Lesson for Us

But let me tell you something—renewal is necessary.
Yes, renewal is painful.

• It hurts to change.
• It hurts to break old patterns.
• It hurts to let go of things that have been part of us for years.

But just like the eagle, if we want to live fully and rise higher, we must undergo the renewal process.

Now, my friends, let me ask: Are you holding on to things weighing you down?

As we age, we accumulate habits, beliefs, fears, and grudges—things that weaken us and prevent us from flying high.

• We hold on to past mistakes and let them define us.
• We carry grudges and refuse to let go of pain.
• We become trapped in old routines, bad habits, and negative thinking that limit our potential.

But if we want to rise, we must learn from the eagle. We must be willing to break away from our past, shed our fears, and embrace change.
Renewal is Painful, But It is Worth It

I won’t lie to you—renewal is not easy. Change hurts. Growth is painful.
But if the eagle can endure the pain and fly again, so can you.
Life will test you. You will face challenges that seem impossible to overcome. But remember—you can renew yourself, rise, and soar higher than ever.
Will You Choose to Fly?

Today, I ask you:
• Are you ready to break free from your past?
• Are you ready to let go of everything that holds you down?
• Are you ready to take your flight?

Because deep inside you, an eagle is waiting to be reborn.
It’s time to spread your wings.
It’s time to soar.
Thank you.
